 General Instruction:
1. All questions are compulsory.
2. There are 15 questions in total. Question 1 and 4 carry 2 marks each. Question 5 to 13 carry 3 marks each and question 14 to 16 carry 5 marks each.
3.There is no overall choice in paper , however some internal choices are mentioned in the paper.

1. Define effective length for a simple pendulum. If we increase the mass of bob of  a pendulum ,what is the effect on its time period.
2. At what height above earth surface its acceleration due to gravity becomes half of the value at the surface of earth.
3. Find the scalar product between vectors A=3i - 2j + 4k and B = 2i - 4j + 3k.
4. Two bodies A and B having masses 5 kg and 6 kg respectively, have there equal Kinetic       energies. Find ratio of  their momentum.
5. A machine has a mass of 30kg. It fires 40gm bullets at the rate of 5 bullets per second ,   with the speed of 330 m sec-1.what force must be applied to the gun to keep it in position ?
6. State Newton’s third law of motion with one example
7. Explain First law of thermodynamics with its equation.
8. Explain kepler’s law of planetary motion.
9. State and prove work energy theorem.
10..  Explain types of  friction with its graph.
11. State Newton’s second law of motion on its basis derived the relation between force and acceleration.
12. Prove the relation Cp – Cv = R in thermodynamics.
13. What do you mean by bending of cyclist and derive the expression for the angle of bending.

14. Define SHM with its characterstic  properties.

Show the motion of a simple pendulum follows S.H.M with its derivation.
15. Rakesh with the intention to win in the interschool sports practiced high jump every day for about a month. He participated and won 1st  position in the interschool sports. (a) Comment upon the values Rakesh possesses. (b) Why does an athlete run some steps before taking a jump? (Value Based Question)
16. State and prove Bernoulli’s theorem with its one application.
